After completing a degree in Landscape Architecture in Manchester Tony followed his wider interest in regeneration with a post-grad in Urban Renewal at Liverpool.
He has since spent most of his career in public service with nearly 13 years experience with the Government Office for the North West. During this time he was responsible for managing EU funding for arts, heritage, land reclamation and business space under the first Objective 1 programme for Merseyside - giving him a great overview of different business sectors and a solid understanding of the Merseyside scene.
More recently he spent seven years as Communications Manager on the follow-up (£2.2billion) Objective 1 programme, which involved constant public affairs activity at a local, regional, national and European level. He joined Paver Smith in 2007.
Tony lives on the Liverpool waterfront, which he says is fantastic apart from being as windy and rain-lashed as a North Sea oil rig for most of the year.
Interests: Tony is a (fairly) regular visitor to the gym and enjoys travel and reading and is rapidly coming to the conclusion that basketball is by far the best spectator sport …largely thanks to the prowess of the Everton Tigers.
He also has a mountain bike which is frequently used for getting into the office and therefore sees much more daylight than both Dougal and Martyn's.
