Scaling a snowy Snowdon

Paver Smith directors Martyn Best and Dougal Paver scaled a blizzard-lashed Snowdon for their first trek of the year.

The hike was the first of a dozen training trips in advance of this summer's third bi-annual Spanish Trek in aid of Claire House Children's Hospice.

Accompanying the pair were Neal Maxwell of Aztec Interiors and Everest veteran and former mountain rescue volunteer Fraser Mackay.

What a start to the trek: the first of numerous blizzards Neal, Dougal and Fraser topping the summit ridge Neal Maxwell’s cunning face mask is a giveaway to his former military career. Fit? We’ve stopped because we’re knackered Paver crowns the summit ridge, before falling flat on his face It’s slippy up there. And bloody cold.
