The Learning and Skills Council Greater Merseyside
hosted an event at St Helens RLFC to communicate to local
businesses the importance of continuing to train and develop staff
during the recession and inform them of the funding that is
available to help them do this.
Presentations were made by British
Olympic high jumper Steve Smith, and Helen France, director of the
area for the Learning and Skills Council Greater Merseyside.
Following the presentations guests
were invited to enjoy a meal, before watching the Saints VS
Harlequins rugby match from an executive box. After watching Saints
beat Harlequins 22-12, Paver Smith account executive Jen Edwards
was there to present the Man of the Match award which was decided
by LSC's guests.
