Rachel started her career with a five-year grounding in journalism on local papers, followed by a spell in snowy Andorra teaching English and learning skiing, before moving into PR.

She worked at three of the city's leading agencies building her expertise in regeneration and professional services PR as well specialising in change management programmes and internal communications.

She joined Paver Downes in 1999 and along with Dougal and Martyn, set up Paver Smith in 2006. The rest, as they say, is history.

Rachel is a director of Paver Smith and sits on both the board and management team. She takes the operational lead of the business with responsibility for delivering improvements such as PRCA and IIP and recruitment and management of the overall team.

She also leads the company's public consultation division and its work in the health sector.

Interests: As mum of two young girls, Rachel and husband Paul are very interested in reading the Sunday papers in peace but also enjoy skiing and fell walking as well as cooking for friends and family.
