National Shooting Week is hoving in to view and I, for one, applaud the use of this standard PR ruse to raise awareness of the issues of responsible shooting.
Quite how much coverage it'll get in the national media I'm not so sure: the jury's out on on the effectiveness of BASC's PR machine and it's such an emotive subject that balance is rarely sought by a media wallowing in dire headlines rather than celebrating the responsible use of weapons by more than a million Brits.
