Paver
Smith has been recognised as one of the UK's top PR
agencies by its leading trade magazine.
The company appears in the 'Top
150' list by influential trade journal PR Week, released today,
and was one of just eight UK agencies highlighted as a 'top
performer'.
The agency was ranked 107th by
turnover during 2008 and was the only Liverpool firm to appear on
the sought after industry watch list.
Paver Smith was commended by PR Week
for its 44 per cent growth which took its fee income up to
£1.8m, despite 2008 ending in recession.
The company also appeared as the
24th top performing agency outside London,
re-establishing the company's ability to position itself
against some of the country's most influential agencies.
MD Dougal Paver said: "There's no
denying that 2008 was a tough year but we've proved our
strength and resilience by picking up 28 new clients in a variety
of sectors.
"To be positioned highly in the
Top Performers list and positioned as an agency of note outside of
London reflects the hard work of the whole team.
"Make no mistake, it is a scrap
out there. But we feel we are fit for the fight."
During 2008, Paver Smith acquired
Factory Communications, Stripe Communications and part of Pazang
swelling head count to 38.
