Paver Smith taps in to the wisdom of twitter

Date Posted: Thu 25th Feb 2010

Paver Smith is to ask its followers on twitter to help it devise the perfect PR agency.

The move, which exploits the phenomenon known as 'the wisdom of crowds', is part of the agency's innovation agenda.

"You can be a bit too close to the coal face sometimes and it can take external pairs of eyes to offer you a fresh view on how your business could improve," said MD Dougal Paver.

"We're looking for any idea, whether it's to do with our services or even how we invoice clients, that might make us stand-out more."

In a direct appeal to the agency's 1,100 twitter followers, Paver added: "No area of our business is off limits: what ideas have you got that would make us more memorable and help us serve our clients better?"

The phenomenon known as 'the wisdom of crowds' says that the insights of the many are far more powerful than the few and that tapping in to the wisdom of many can help re-shape companies and even society itself.
