Paver Smith named north west agency of the year

Date Posted: Sun 4th Jan 2009

Paver Smith has been named north west PR agency of the year by leading trade magazine The Drum.

The magazine cited the agency's integration of the team from Factory Communications and its success in beating off key London agencies to win the Shell Gas Direct account as key factors in the accolade.

It went on to note that "Paver Smith deserves recognition for the weight of its ambition alone."

"The team worked extremely hard throughout 2008 and it's lovely to start the new year with such a public pat on the back," said agency director Rachel Smith.

"Not only did we integrate a super team of people from Factory, but we secured the PRCA's prestigious consultancy management standard, too, to add to our Investor in People award," added Rachel.

Looking forward to 2009, agency MD Dougal Paver noted: "Our plan is to continue to seek out acquisition opportunities as well as to drive organic growth. We'll underpin our management standards further when we secure the ISO 14001 environmental accreditation in the autumn.

"Meantime, it's nice to be considered the north west's best PR agency. I'm chuffed for the team."
