Paver Smith has been
accepted as a partner of IPREX, the worldwide corporation of
independent public relations firms.
The agency will be the only firm
from the north of England allowed in to the corporation, which has
68 partners with 88 offices worldwide.
Martyn Best, the agency's
director that led negotiations with IPREX, says the move is already
proving useful in its overseas work for brands such as Shell, Bibby
Ship Management and Liverpool's presence at Shanghai World Expo
2010.
"This deal brings us in to
partnership with some of the world's leading independent PR
agencies and gives us access to expertise wherever our clients find
themselves doing business.
"We see this as another
accreditation that reinforces our drive for quality, efficiency and
reach," said Best, adding that he expected the agency to
secure the ISO 14001 environmental management benchmark within a
fortnight.
Welcoming Paver Smith, the President
of IPREX EMEA, Christian Hannestad (The Communications Business,
Edinburgh), said: "Partners are capitalising on the
increasingly global nature of communication and reputation
management, despite the current challenging economic climate. Many
of Paver Smith's clients have an important international
dimension and IPREX will help the agency to broaden the scope of
its activities in this field. We're all looking forward to
working with such a dynamic, professional team."
