Paver Smith invests £100k in new training academy

Date Posted: Wed 25th Feb 2009

Paver Smith is to launch a PR training academy for its staff in a six figure investment.

The 42-module programme is believed to be "unique in its scope" in the PR industry and has been 8 months in the planning.

Agency MD Dougal Paver says it was an easy decision: "our most compelling point of difference is our team so the debate about where we allocate our resources was always going to be a short one."

The programme, developed internally, covers craft skills, management and leadership. Paver says that the agency intends to open it up to in-house staff later in the year.

"We promise people careers and this is about demonstrating that we keep our word," said Paver. "I expect it to be a key plank in our competitiveness going forward and can see it evolving and growing in the future."

The move follows Paver Smith's Investors in People accreditation in 2007 and its award of the prestigious Consultancy Management Standard in 2008.
