Paver Smith has assumed control of Wilmslow-based Pazang PR and is to move the business to its new offices in Spinningfields, Manchester.
The move follows the retirement from the boutique agency of founder Tanya Arturi following the recent birth of her first son and her desire to focus on developing the new lifestyle magazine Prestbury Living.
Paver Smith managing director Dougal Paver said the deal would strengthen the agency's position in Manchester after its recent acquisition of Stripe Communications. Pazang account director Charlotte Jones will join Paver Smith and the agency's clients are supportive of the move.
"We'll take growth and high calibre people from wherever they may come," said Paver.
"Charlotte's highly respected with a great consumer and professional services background and will be a great help to Denise Mullen in growing our Manchester presence."
Tanya Arturi expressed some sadness at leaving Pazang.
"It's been my baby for 6 years, and I've taken great pride in what we have achieved. The arrival of baby Cameron however has caused a major re-think in the commitment I could give to Pazang, and having met the team at Paver Smith I'm confident that their principles and standards will continue to more than support our clients' needs. I'm happy that the spirit of Pazang will live on within Paver Smith."
