Paver Smith crowned pub quiz champions

Paver Smith was crowned Liverpool professionals pub quiz champions last night.

Twenty one teams from across the region battled it out at the offices of accountants Baker Tilly in the much-anticipated annual event.

Lying fourth place at the final round, the agency's musical prowess won the day as they took maximum points to claim the crown.

"Not only can our team drink, but they can think, too" said agency MD Dougal Paver.

"Spotting that the version of 'Delilah' was by Jimi Hendrix probably tipped us over the winning line. All credit to the lads," he added.

The team comprised Tom Taylor, Steve Sanders, Barry Gregory and Dougal Paver.
