Paver named 'Agent of Change'

Dougal Paver, Paver Smith's managing director, was last night named the north west's Agent of Change for 2006 at the annual 42 under forty two awards dinner hosted by Insider magazine.

The award was for the individual or business that had done most to foster and cultivate economic, social or political change. The judges cited Paver's passion for, and commitment to Liverpool as a key consideration in their decision. HIs recent publication of a manifesto for making Liverpool more attractive to investors was also noted.

"I'm bloody chuffed with this," said Paver. "Really out of the blue and very flattering. Liverpool is changing rapidly and it's important that people engage constructively in debate about how we can capitalise on the opportunities that face us."
