The Andorran national football team's head physio says agency MD Dougal Paver's pre-trek diet of Guinness and pork pies is to blame for his crocked knee.
Paver went under the physio's stern gaze on the final day of his 42-mile Spanish Trek after his knee gave in 9,000 feet up a mountain.
"I've just been pummelled, stretched and twisted for two and a half hours then told off for being overweight. I get less aggro at home," said Paver.
Whilst Dougal recouperates in Andorra's capital his fellow trekkers have continued their journey, ensuring that their promises to sponsors are fulfilled.
"I'm gutted to be on the bench," said Paver, "but chuffed that the rest of the lads are putting themselves through one final, agonising climb for Claire House. It'll be large beers all round tonight to celebrate a job well done."
