North west PR agency Paver Smith has cleaned up its act by landing the prestigious ISO 14001 environmental management standard - and the award is already leading to new business.
The benchmark, awarded to its Manchester and Liverpool offices, took nine months to secure and followed a 'highly rigorous' audit process.
Agency managing director Dougal Paver said it had been "a hard slog" but "well worth the effort."
"Waste isn't free and nor is it morally desirable," said Paver. "The win has reinforced our culture of efficiency but tells the market that we're prepared to benchmark our claims about environmental performance."
Paver says that, as far as he is aware, Paver Smith is the only north west agency with the accolade. "It's already generating a competitive advantage. We've just been appointed by leading print management business APS Group who cited our pursuit of ISO 14001 as a factor in their decision-making process."
