Miss England beauty Katrina Hodge has become
the first person to take a 'rollover' in Liverpool's
new big wheel.
The stunner took the inaugural spin
wearing a dress made entirely out of lottery balls and tickets, to
promote today's (12th February) massive £113
million EuroMillions draw.
Dubbed 'Combat
Barbie,' Lance Corporal Hodge, who
serves with the British Army, hasbeen granted six months leave to
fulfil her role as Miss England. She said: "It's been a
whirlwind few months, absolutely crazy.
"It just goes to show how one
stroke of luck can change your life and make your wildest dreams a
reality. I just hope the luck continues to roll in 2010, starting
with tonight's mega £113million jackpot."
A National Lottery spokesperson
said: "Huge jackpots like these allow winners to change their
own lives and those of their family and friends. We'll be
keeping our fingers crossed for a UK winner, so they like Katrina
can have their wildest dreams come true."
A single winner of this week's
EuroMillions Jackpot would smash all British records and could take
the EuroMillions title too. With no jackpot winners of last weeks
£85m Mega Jackpot, today's jackpot is an incredible
estimated £113m (12 February 2010).
If no-one matches all five main
numbers and two Lucky Star numbers to win the jackpot, then it will
roll to the following Friday's draw (Feb 19). With nine
countries now playing - the UK, France, Spain, Austria, Belgium,
Luxembourg, Ireland, Portugal and Switzerland - EuroMillions is the
world's biggest multinational lottery game by total population
eligible to play.
The current EuroMillions record win
is £113,229,891 banked by a single ticketholder from Spain in
the draw on 8 May 2009. The British Record is held by Les and Sam
Scadding from South Wales, and the Magnificent Seven syndicate from
Liverpool, who each won £45.5m on 6 November last year. The
jackpot is only a roll away from breaking the European record set
by a single ticket on the Italian SuperEnalotto game which banked
£128.3m (Euro147.8) on 22 August 2009.
EuroMillions offers a greater range
of prizes than any other National Lottery draw, with 12 prize
levels in total. In the UK it also includes the Millionaire Raffle
which guarantees to create a millionaire on these shores every
week. It costs £2 to play and tickets are available from over
28,000 National Lottery retailers across the UK, online at
www.national-lottery.co.uk and via mobile
phones using the Play by Text service.
