Miss England adds glamour to Paver Smith expansion

North west PR agency Paver Smith has secured its second hat-trick of client wins of 2010, including the regional heats for the Miss England competition. The agency has also been appointed by Oddfellows and Medical Thermal Imaging North West.

The Miss England assignment, to be handled by the firm's Liverpool office, will involve promoting twelve heats across the north west. "We've had plenty of volunteers to work on that," noted managing director Dougal Paver.

The agency's Manchester office, meanwhile, has won an international assignment to promote Oddfellows, one of the oldest friendly societies in the UK, which is set to set to launch an online membership campaign and extensive web archive in its 200th year.

The 100,000-strong member organisation is headquartered in Manchester and has chosen Paver Smith to help take its brand worldwide.

"This is our third international assignment, joining Shell Gas Direct and Bibby Ship Management, and it says a great deal about our effectiveness with the media wherever they may be" said Paver Smith's Manchester director Denise Mullen.

Medical Thermal Imaging North West (MTi), a clinical thermal imagining practice based on Rodney Street in Liverpool, has also appointed Paver Smith to provide project-based PR support and to raise awareness to help extend its services via practitioner referrals and mobile clinics.

"We've hit a purple patch since the new year which is encouraging," said Paver. "We're still expecting a scrap in 2010 overall, but so far, so good."
