Metquarter: Press Day

The Issue: The Metquarter is Liverpool's most exclusive shopping centre, housing 46 units with brands such as Timberland and Hugo Boss. It also includes a 17,000 sq ft Flannels anchor store, which stocks many designer collections such as Dolce and Gabbana and Prada.

In August Paver Smith hosted a press day to showcase many of new Autumn/Winter lines for the various brands housed there.

The Objective: Our objective was to engage with as many fashion journalists and magazine editors as possible and to get them to attend our event. This enabled us to set up many opportunities in the local press as well as the regional and national glossy magazines.

The Results: The press day was a fantastic success with many journalists attending from both regional newspapers and magazines.

The overall response to the new autumn/winter collections was very positive and some definite themes were identified for future fashionistas.

Particular items of interest included the DKNY jeans collection as well as the various leather pieces from Firetrap.

With regards to accessories, Mikey was a favourite with their colourful new line as well as the silver postcard from Links of London and the various quirky items from Azendi.

Footwear made a huge statement this season with a range of bold colours and textures - Kate Kuba scored highly with the journalists as well as LK Bennett.
