On the 8th July 2010, the Paver Smith team attended the final of the Merseyside Innovation Awards which was held at Liverpool's Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The Awards aim to recognise and reward the use of innovation as a means of boosting growth and profitability and are open to individuals or companies who are based within Merseyside and have less than 50 employees.
This year's winner was St Helens manufacturing company, Kleen and Green, who beat off fellow finalists Builder Scrap and Sign Lights.
As a result of winning the award, Kleen and Green received £10,000 in cash, advice worth £4,000 from some of the region's leading business advisors, and the offer of space at Liverpool Science Park.
The events keynote speaker was Trevor Baylis, inventor of the Clockwork Radio, and the judging panel included: Howard Rose, managing director of Mast Diagnostics who were three times Merseyside Innovation Award winners, Cllr Gary Millar, and Steve Sealey, Founder and Chairman of Aquarius.
Paver Smith were also one of the awards sponsors.
