Livesmart

Livesmart is a smartcard operator based in Liverpool.

It produces the 08 card - the official Capital of Culture card- which is free to every resident in Merseyside and designed to increase public involvement in 2008.

The 08 Card provides holders with exclusive discounts and one off incentives, plus updates on cultural events and attractions around Merseyside.

More than 85,000 people have already signed up and activated their cards, giving them access to a range of offers.

Benefits include reduced price Merseyrail travel, special offers on theatre tickets and free children's entry to attractions.

The card was launched by a partnership made up of Liverpool Culture Company, Mersytravel and Livesmart- - and is available free of charge to every Merseyside resident.

Prizes already given away this year have included lunch with the Captain aboard the QE2 during its final visit to the City, switching on the 800^th birthday firework display from the Radio City Tower, and a 'Meet and Greet with Liverpool and Everton footballers at the Christmas lights switch on.

08 Card Partners, including the Echo Arena, TATE Liverpool, Liverpool Empire Theatre, Everyman and Playhouse and The Philharmonic Hall, have also contributed to monthly competitions to win tickets for the best shows in town

Livesmart also produce the VIP 08 Card and the Your Ticket for Liverpool card which is aimed at visitors to the city.
