Jane made the career move into PR after spending 15 years as a
journalist.
She started as a trainee reporter on the Warrington Guardian in
Cheshire before moving to the Liverpool Daily Post and ECHO. During
her time at the Post and ECHO Jane was voted both News Reporter of
the Year and Feature Writer of the Year.
She covered a number of varied roles at the Post and ECHO,
including political correspondent, education correspondent and
senior feature writer. She also spent time as both a Cheshire
district reporter and Wirral district reporter and ran the Wirral
District office.
Jane has significant public relations experience with both private
and public sector clients.
Interests: Jane loves to be active and it is a
constant joke among all of her friends that she just never sits
still. A keen runner, Jane trains six times a week and is a member
of Wirral Athletic Club. She is a competitive athlete and has run
three marathons, including New York. Jane now concentrates on
shorter distances of half marathon, 10k and 5k.
When she is not running Jane loves to train at Wallasey Amateur
Boxing Club. She also has a keen interest in music and plays the
piano, clarinet and saxaphone to Grade 8 standard.
