Retained agency for national Lottery operator Camelot

Paver Smith has been National Lottery organiser Camelot’s retained PR agency for the North West for more than three years – managing all media activity in the region including major winners’ press conferences.

We manage all aspects of both National Lottery and EuroMillions winner announcements, working closely with Camelot’s in-house communications team and ensuring the maximum possible positive press coverage for the competitions whilst protecting the privacy of the individuals concerned.

In addition to winner press conferences, we also organise various winner and charity events throughout the year which provide an opportunity for winners to meet each other and talk to others who have something in common – and at the same time give something back to their local communities.

Although our specific brief is the North West, Paver Smith is also drafted in to support at winner press conferences and events across the country, particularly when there is a major jackpot or big EuroMillions roll-over win.

Our work with Camelot also involves coming up with creative and innovative campaigns to promote new games and scratchcard launches and clever photo-stunts for unclaimed prizes to ensure maximum publicity.We have also hosted visits to the region from Camelot’s Chief Executive, ensuring she meets key influential business people and media.

Paver Smith also promoted a regional competition across numerous media titles to give the public the chance to win a money-can’t-buy opportunity to take part in the National Lottery Olympic Park Run and cross the official Olympic finishing line before any of our athletes.
All of our work with Camelot has resulted in wide-spread local, regional and national coverage, including BBC News 24, Sky News and Channel 5, on a regular basis.
