Paver Smith was appointed to look after the launch of the UK’s first Catalonian restaurant and deli, Lunya, in the Liverpool One shopping district. The brief was to co-ordinate a launch party ensuring key influential business people from across the city were in attendance. This took the format of a taster evening and journalists and specialist food writers were also invited.
Following the success of the launch Paver Smith was appointed on a retained basis to help to drive footfall to the restaurant and customers to the deli . A key part of the campaign was also to drive on-line custom to the deli – one of the country’s largest, boasting the finest charcuterie, cheeseboard, rare wines and sherries.
Paver Smith used a series of creative picture and features ideas, including gourmet cookery classes for journalists and the public, to help to drive awareness.
The campaign resulted in wide-spread media coverage, both locally, regionally and nationally. Lunya has been featured in such high profile publications as Olive Magazine and the Daily Telegraph and has received top restaurant reviews in the local, regional and national press.
As a result of our campaign - and working closely with owner Peter Kinsella to ensure our work always compliments his business goals and objectives – Lunya is now on the national food map and a favourite among both foodie experts, families and casual diners.
The restaurant and deli continues to grow from strength to strength, priding itself on serving the finest foods from North East Spain – foods which are unique to Lunya and this country.
Jane Woodhead, Partner and Account Director, said: “Playing a key role in helping to launch the UK’s first Catalonian restaurant and see the business develop brought challenges but tremendous satisfaction and enjoyment at the same time.”
