Helen's first taste of PR came after a two-week stint of work experience with a Manchester agency. After showcasing her enthusiasm and 'getting stuck' in, Helen was recommended for a job with a specialist business to business agency and so began her PR career. Over the last seven years Helen has worked for a wide range of blue chip names and spent almost five years working for a leading international consultancy - playing a major role on the Shell Petroleum account. Helen's work for Shell gave her the opportunity to travel to Bangkok, Cape Town and New York and saw her work commended with the Institute of Public Relation's Young Communicator of the Year in 2001 (north west). Helen's experience is diverse and has seen her work for European Parliament - managing a ten week UK tour with a giant 30ft map of Europe, to a seven second spray tan - which saw her turn a nasty shade of orange. Helen currently manages a team of account handlers with a client portfolio including property, regeneration and public sector clients.
Interests: Helen is a child of the 'blue peter' generation and has a real passion for arts and crafts. Never happier than when covered in glue, glitter and sticky back plastic, Helen makes handmade cards and wedding stationary in her spare time. And when there's no more loo rolls or washing up liquid bottles to cut up - Helen can be found reading, watching films and of course, the requisite girly hobby of shopping (especially shoes!).
