Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa

The UK's only PGA national residential golf academy, Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa, has been transformed from a golf club into a full resort following a £10million investment.

The resort is set amidst 250 acres of rolling parkland and combines style and sophistication with effortless chic.

Its extensive facilities include a luxury 62 bedroom hotel overlooking the 18-hole championship golf course, a spa and leisure club boasting 25 Phytomer treatments, Technogym, heated pool and wet area including a spa bath, sauna and steam room.

Formby Hall's golfing facilities are second to none with a PGA academy offering expert tuition from PGA professionals, the latest in swing-analysis technology and a 25-bay driving range. All of which is complemented by its world class nine-hole par 3 links and 18-hole championship course.

There is no accommodation available during The 2008 Open and MTV European Music Awards as golfers and musicians are expected to descend on the resort and the sales department has been inundated with requests for exclusive use of its heli-pad.
