The open is returning to Sefton on Saturday 28th March when the great golf giveaway takes place at Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa (FHGR&S).
The resort's PGA
academy is hosting its first open day in a golf bonanza worth
more than £10,000.
Its PGA professionals will help golfers
lose shots as they provide free tuition at the academy's swing
analysis lab, host short and long game clinics to improve technique
and give free range balls and access to the driving range.
Visitors can take part in a series
of challenges including nearest pin and longest drive. The biggest
test will be chipping the ball into a Ferrari 360 Spider as the
winner will get to experience driving the supercar for the day.
Other prizes include a luxury stay at the resort, private golf
tuition by PGA professionals and a four ball on the 18-hole golf
course.
Mark Williams, PGA professional at
Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa, said: "As the golf season
starts we want to keep building momentum and generate interest in
all aspects of golf. There's no Premier League football during
the open weekend which gives people the perfect chance to switch
their focus to golf and hone their skills."
The PGA academy will be a one
stop shop for golfers of all abilities from 10am to 5pm on Saturday
28th March. The clinics will take place at 12pm and 2pm
and tuition at the swing analysis lab will take place from 11am and
occur at 15 minute intervals.
