Food glorious food
As announced in November last year, the godfather of modern cookery himself, Marco Pierre White, is moving back to his northern roots - in the form of two new venues.
Now we are just days away from the opening of the newly refurbished Swan Inn in Aughton with his exclusive menu.
As well as the Swan, Marco will be launching a Steakhouse, Bar & Grill at the Doubletree by Hilton in Chester.
Not content with simply opening venues in the region, Marco has handpicked two northern talents to front the Swan Inn. A Bolton-born Michelin-starred chef will run the kitchen, with a Liverpool man running the restaurant.
We, at Paver Smith are incredibly excited about the opening of the restaurant (not just because it gives us an opportunity to get out of the city) as the prospect of a celebrity chef coming to the region will raise the bar on restaurant food, and the bandanas Marco wears are quite appealing too.
Not only is Marco coming back to his roots with his menu but also with his ingredients, the majority of which have been sourced locally.
Marco Pierre White at the Swan opens on Monday and our table is booked already.
