Everton Tigers are on their way to the British Basketball League cup final!

The Everton Tigers basketball team has seen tremendous success since June 2007 when Everton in the Community (EitC)extended the strong relationship they had with the successful local basketball team Toxteth Tigers.

The Toxteth team started in 1968 and in its forty years of existence achieved accolades from the grass roots all the way to international level.

The new link up saw the team compete as Liverpool's only professional side in the British Basketball League - the top level of competition in the UK - achieving a play-off place in their debut season.

Other highlights include the Everton Tigers game in Liverpool's Echo Arena against North West rivals Cheshire Jets.

This season has seen the team lose only once in the league as well as go through to the BBL Cup Final on January 18^th at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.

We're also delighted that one of our Directors, Martyn Best acts as vice-chairman for the Tigers, and he'll be cheering them on in their first ever Cup Final.
