Don’t "Tyre" Yourself Out
New European laws have been announced today
that will make car tyres safer and more fuel efficient, which is
great news for the environment.
Tyre labelling regulations may also
be stepped up to give consumers an increased understanding of fuel
efficiency, noise levels and road-grip across manufacturer's
brands.
Those of an eco-friendly mind, will
be able to make a more informed decision regarding their purchase
and can choose less environmentally damaging tyres.
Some retailers already flag up these options and
variants but there is still a massive amount of room for
improvement and it is something that could be rolled out on an
industry-wide level.
Of course, driving a car has an
environmental impact but if we all make a small change to improve
our vehicles' carbon footprint, then we will see real benefits
in the long term.
