Doing our bit

It's a good life and we're fortunate to enjoy many of its benefits. Others aren't, so we get stuck in and help as much as resources allow.

We've been fundraising patrons of Claire House Children's Hospice for yonks and will remain so. We helped with the NSPCC's marvellous Safe Place appeal. And we're members of the Liverpool branch of Norfox, the property industry charity.

Away from charities, we try and do our bit for Liverpool: it's where we live and work, after all. So, we sit on the boards of Liverpool Vision and Liverpool Chamber of Commerce; we're on the development committee of Tate Liverpool; provide advice to FACT as a trustee; and are trustees of the Everton Collection, as well vice chair of Everton Tigers, a key plank of Everton in the Community.

Nothing earth-shattering, perhaps, but enough to be able to hold our head up.
