Doing our bit

It's a good life and we're fortunate to enjoy many of its benefits. Others aren't, so we get stuck in and help as much as resources allow.

We've been fundraising patrons of Claire House Children's Hospice for yonks and will remain so. We help with the NSPCC's marvellous Safe Place appeal and the Jelly Bean Appeal on the Wirral.

Away from charities, we sit on the board of Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and are trustees of the Everton Collection, as well chairman of Everton Tigers, a key plank of Everton in the Community.

Nothing earth-shattering, perhaps, but enough to be able to hold our heads up.
