Chester Racecourse is an all
year round leisure destination.
With an ever increasing diary of events the
historic Roodee has something to entertain all tastes, budgets and
ages.
The new sophisticated 1539 Restaurant with
panoramic views over the racecourse is open every day of the year.
It has a corporate lounge area, accessed via a spiral staircase,
providing sporting enthusiasts with the opportunity to watch a
whole array of events on flat screen televisions and from the
comfort of leather sofas.
An outside decking area offers alfresco dining
during the summer months and 1539 prides itself on only using the
finest British produce.
The latest addition to the calendar at Chester
Racecourse is The Barclays Wealth
British Masters Invitational. This is a unique show jumping
event which will be staged at the end of next month.
The two day festival is aimed at changing the
image of show jumping for years to come. The traditional red
jackets will be replaced with polo shirts and betting will be
introduced on the course.
Many Olympic
hopefuls, including 40 of Britain's top riders, will also
take part in the event. It is hoped this will be the first of many
festivals of its type to take place in both this country and
abroad.
