Tantalise your taste buds next week with The Easter Taste
Weekend as part of Chester Food and Drink
Festival.
The Taste Weekend, which will take place at Chester Racecourse from
the 11th - 13th April, will include a large
Producers` Market, showcasing the district's impressive variety
of top quality produce, from cheeses, meat products, fruit,
vegetables, ice-cream, shrimps, salmon and cider to homemade
chocolates and preserves.
The new Pavilion is housing the exhibitors and will be surrounded
by a food court taking in the centre of the racetrack and featuring
a selection of Cheshire restaurants as well as children's
entertainment and music. The Roodee Bar & Grill Pavilion will
host the auditorium for a selection of seminars and cooking
demonstrations.
In addition, there will be a whole host of celebrity chefs who will
bring their culinary excellence and expertise to the festival,
these include; Simon Rimmer, Alan Coxon, Andrew Nutter and Paul
Askew. Their line up includes live cookery demonstrations as well
as giving tips and advice on anything from how to select the best
produce to how to cook simply fantastic food for friends and
family.
Chester Food and Drink festival Chairman, Stephen Wundke, says:
"Chester Food & Drink festival is in its eighth year and
this year aims to be bigger and better than before. We have added
more celebrity chefs, cookery demonstrations and producers to the
line up to give those living in the North West a festival that they
will have huge enjoyment visiting and will be proud of."
The Festival started on Saturday and runs until the 18th
April. There will be free all-day parking for visitors to the
Festival at Chester Racecourse over the Easter weekend. Tickets are
£5 for adults and £3.50 for concessions and children for
the Taste Weekend.
