Organisers of the Liverpool Triathlon are
urging the city's business community to get involved.
Taking place on the 21st
June, participants will swim, bike and run while taking in some of
the most iconic views the city has to offer, including the Liver
Building, Albert Dock and the brand new Arena and Convention
Centre.
Legal practice Quinn Barrow, based on Stanley
Street, already has two experienced triathletes on its roster.
Stephen Ormersher, a trainee
solicitor, and Paul Barrow, a partner at the practice, have
participated in numerous triathlons over the years.
Stephen, who is a member of Liverpool Tri, said:
"In addition to being a great way to keep fit there is also a
fantastic social aspect to the sport.
"I'm sure the Liverpool
Triathlon will be a fantastic event to participate in and I would
encourage other business people across the city to sign-up."
But it is not just experienced
athletes who are invited to take part. Beginners are also welcome
and a series of specialist training programmes have been put in
place to cater for their needs.
Drop-in training sessions, running
from 7.30pm-9.00pm, have been arranged for the 18th and
24th March at the Aquatics Centre and Walton Lifestyles
respectively with more to be announced, including a novice training
day in late April.
