Why PR?
I sort of fell in to it after my marketing degree.
The marketing consultancy I worked for merged with a PR agency and
their work piqued my interest, so I went down that road.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Cheese. Any and every type. Hard stuff, soft stuff and that Swiss
one with holes in it. You name it, I'll nibble on.
If you could have any super power, what would you
choose?
The one that inspires the Everton team to back-to-back European Cup
victories.
Proudest career moment to date
Achieving Investors in People status. As soon as we started the
journey we saw immediate benefits and it's now the bedrock of
our people policies. Wouldn't be without it, to be honest.
Best decision you have ever made
Learning to fall out of love with Alfa Romeo cars. It's saved
me a fortune in depreciation.
PR or advertising campaign you wish you had come up
with?
Any with a £1m price-tag.
Thing you couldn't live without?
My numbered pair of Victor Sarasqueta 12 bore sidelock ejectors. He
was the gunmaker to the Spanish crown for 29 years and made
exquisite shotguns. Mine are in mint condition and shoot like a
dream.
Most unusual thing you've ever done?
Get my RSA II typing exams aged fifteen - 85 words a minute with
92% accuracy. I was crap at woodwork and there was something about
being in a class of pretty girls that swung it for me.
What would be your desert island disc?
'Strangers in the Night' by UFO - the 1979 definitive
double-live album that set the standard for all others. None has
matched it.
