1. What do you like most about your
job?
I really enjoy the constant
variation. No matter how much you plan ahead, every day is
completely different.
2. What is the best example of PR you have
seen recently?
The "Who are
you going to support" campaign by the BBC prior to Euro 2008.
The tournament could have been badly received due to the lack of
involvement by the home nations but thanks to the build up I think
people have really enjoyed it.
3. Where is your favourite place in the
world that you have visited?
Probably the Whitsunday Islands, off the east coast of Australia.
Aside from the various amazing white sandy beaches and diving on
the barrier reef, one of the best things was going to sleep on the
top deck of the boat. Looking up and seeing all of the stars
shining bright while you're drifting in the middle of the ocean
was awesome.
4. What do you do to unwind?
I've just started learning to play the guitar so I tend to get
that out in the evenings and attempt some songs.
5. What are you currently working on?
I've been working on a proposal for a property developer that
reinvests its profit into neighbourhood renewal projects and social
housing which is a great USP to have. One of my other clients is
starting to work on its plans for a large regeneration project
which is really interesting, in part because of the scale of the
scheme.
6. What is the best experience that
working in PR has given you?
There's a couple of things I could put in here, but I have to
say that going to see Spurs play Everton at Goodison last season
was pretty good. The game was rubbish but the hospitality lounge
was well worth the visit!
7. What are you doing this weekend?
I'm going away next week, so I'll be busy
packing!
8. What are you reading at the moment?
I've just finished 'Boiling a frog' by
Christopher Brookmyre. It's quite a funny take on the media
industry with some political satire thrown in for good measure.
9. What is your most prized possession?
Away from the obvious, like family and friends
I'd have to say the great set of Lord of the Rings books my
girlfriend got me for my 21st. They're illustrated hard backs
and highly collectable editions - almost too good to read!
10. What is your favourite quote?
"A work of art is never finished, only
abandoned" - I like the suggestion that something can't
necessarily be finished - it seems to leave room for
improvement
