General Franco, because I'd want to find out what happened to him as a nipper than turned him in to such a nasty, repressive little man.

If you were an animal, what would you be?

Today I'm a ant-eater: all snuffly and in need of constant food.

Which aspect of your career do you enjoy the most?

The constant variety. Oh, and every day's a school day.

If your life story was made into a film, who would play the leading role?

I'd have a go at it, I think - always fancied getting myself on celluloid. It's fair to say that it would lack a certain critical acclaim, mind.

Favourite writer/ columnist?

Benedict Brogan in the Telegraph is good value.

Print or online?

Room for both - it all depends on your physical context.

What do you like most about Liverpool/ Manchester?

Both cities have world class curry houses. That is always a good thing.

If you weren't in PR, what would you do?

I'd captain the British fly fishing team. Obviously.

Blackberry. I like things simple.
